Black Himalayan salt (also known as kala namak) is perhaps the littlest known variant of Himalayan salt, despite its unique properties as its slight sulfur-like taste and scent makes it perfect for substituting the flavor of eggs. It can be used as an additive in any dish, including tofu or chickpea omelets. Don’t forget to reduce the conventional salt content (or omit salt altogether) when using black salt in dishes.
